Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP)

SROP is a gateway to graduate education at Big Ten Academic Alliance universities. The goal of the program is to increase the number of underrepresented students who pursue graduate study and research careers by helping to prepare undergraduates for graduate study though intensive research experiences with faculty mentors and enrichment activities.

Applications must be completed by February 11, including the transcript upload. Recommendation letters will be accepted until March 1.

First Time Users

If you have not started a SROP application, you will need to register.

• Once registered, you will be directed to confirm your account. You must confirm your account before you can log into your application.
• The SROP application can be completed in one setting or you may return later to finish it.
• You will be able to check the status of your application once its submitted.
